Dear JSAS Members,
We would like to share this Call for Chapters for an edited volume entitled Japan–Africa Relations Since the End of the Cold War: Trade, Investment, Diplomacy, and Development Partnership, edited by Sabella Abidde and Victor Adetula. The volume covers a wide range of themes that closely connect with the research interests of many JSAS members, including TICAD, trade and investment, development cooperation, human security, people-to-people relations, and Japan’s engagement with Africa in comparison with China and other external powers.
The abstract deadline is September 25, 2026 (300–350 words), with full chapters due January 15, 2027. Please have a look at the attached CFP, and I hope some of our members will consider contributing!
