***********
There is growing attention to Third Culture and Mixed Heritage individuals in both academia and civilsociety. This gathering examines their contributions to contemporary Africa–Asia relations and reflects on future challenges and possibilities. The two speakers grew up as individuals of Asian heritage in South Africa between 1995 and 2015, a pivotal period as the country transitioned to a multi-ethnic, multicultural society. Through lived experiences and creative community initiatives, we will explore new perspectives on transnational identity, cultural mediation, and emerging forms of interregional engagement in an open, conversational setting.
